Good general explanation, but that much I knew. What He does is describe the attributes (strength, dexterity, etc.), how to roll for them, that 3 is the least and 18 is the most you can roll for each one, and he gives a one-line description of what an 18 would mean for each attribute, and what a 3 would mean. And then which kinds of characters are available, that there are sub-types of each character, and what the pros and cons are of choosing each main character type (wizard, elf, human, etc.) and just a hint about weapons.

Just enough detail to fill in the blanks, not enough boggle.
