Blame Tim Powers for the 'On Stranger Tides' subtitle, since his book ['On Stranger Tides'] was optioned for the movie. It came out 20-ish years ago and dealt with pirates, mermaids, zombies, Blackbeard, Blackbeard's daughter & the fountain of youth.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I enjoyed the book. I worry about how it was adapted. 'The Stress of Her Regard' is my favorite Powers book, but 'OST' is a close 2nd.
