Amtrak seemed to me to be thoroughly inferior to the European rail system.

The con programming didn't really allow for meal breaks. Most Worldcons don't. We did work those breaks into our Denvention filk schedule, for those whose Worldcons are primarily filk-oriented. I ate way too much overpriced food from the convention center in Reno. I did get to Olive Garden once. Chicken Parm. Mmmmm.
