I actually managed to catch that Elementary. Here's a hint: when recording something on TIVO that follows a sporting event, presidential seech, etc., also set it to record everything 2 hours before and after. It was a pretty decent episode. Wonder if there's a way to watch it online.

Did that once with a micro. No salvaging possible. Picked up a cheap off brand replacement at K Mart. It's been fine for maybe 10 years now.
