I watch Alimentary because Lucy Liu is amazing. I would seriously watch if they dyed her hair red, had her marry a Cuban bandleader, and called it the Lucy Liu show.
I have similar plus and minus views on Hawaii 5-0. The supporting actors for me are the whole show, especially Masi Oka, who was brilliant in Heroes and is underused in this show, Grace Park who does a convincing job of playing a native Hawaiian who can surf in spite of being a Canadian from Vancouver who can't, and Taylor Wily, who, as Kamekona, is the hidden star of the show.
