I has always amazed me how, this time of year, everyone - every single one - assumes you have or are or you are married to a mother. It actually kinda of pisses me off more every year.
And while I try not to, I do lash out. One of my Twitter followers is a TV program about Seattle restaurants. They Tweeted the other day - 'where are you going for Mother's Day brunch??!!' I tweeted back that the more difficult question would be where can you go if you aren't a mother and don't have kids and want brunch without standing in line until Tuesday.
And... the owner of Mullaedy's (http://www.mulleadyspub.com/), a place I'd never heard of, replied to my tweet that I should go there! Turns out their brunch menu looks good so that's where I'm going!! I'm kind of excited about it.
