Lunar Eclipse. Red Sox Win. Coincidence?
Oct. 28th, 2004 12:10 pmIn most cultures, an eclipse is viewed as an omen of Something Bad™. Makes me wonder if the eclipse foreshadowed (pun intended) the start of a new curse.
Will the Red Sox win the next 85 World Serieses? [aside - what is the plural of "series" anyway?]
Will the Yankees go for the next 85 years without a World Series win?
And what about the Chicago Cubs? They are the team which lost to the Red Sox in 1918, and though they made it to the World Series in 1929, 1932, 1935, 1938 and 1945, they have not won the Big Game since 1908. Maybe the eclipse is signaling a Chicago win in a Cubs-Red Sox series in 2005? Things that make you go "Hmmmmmm".
