Sawatdee Bee Mai

"Mai" rhymes with "Fry" and the phrase is Thai for "Happy New Year". I went to the Songkran festivities Sunday at the Thai Buddhist temple in Fremont. This is the new year festival which welcomes the rainy season, and part of the fun is getting wet. Very wet. Kids tend to take this festival to its logical conclusion, as this picture illustrates:
