So the Intel RAID recovery routine looks like it works this way:

1. Replace the bad drive with a good one
2. Delete the RAID array
3. Select "Migrate RAID array from existing hard drive"
4. Select one of the formerly good drives as the source
5. Select the rest of the drives as the target (including the source drive)
6. Hit "go" and about 7 hours later it will have rebuilt the array using the data info from the one source drive

We'll see if it works - tomorrow morning. I have my doubts.
