A Huge Loss

Rep. Tom Lantos, who represented California's San Mateo County area for 14 terms, has died of cancer. Born in Hungary, he was the only member of Congress to have survived a Nazi concentration camp, and was a strong advocate of human rights. He was instrumental in bringing to light the courageous deeds of Raoul Wallenberg, who helped him and hundreds of others escape Hitler's "final solution".


He will be sorely missed.
