Second Weekend This Week

Taking a computer break on my way to my sister's, at the Starbucks across the street from North Kitsap Mall. It was a stop and go drive through south King County and Tacoma, but the road to Beremerton was okay. I stopped once when I found myself falling asleep - I don't know why, I got a good night's sleep last night, and didn't work too hard.

After I write this I'll go down the block to Red Lobster for dinner then head out to the other side of Poulsbo to sister's. Tomorrow morning she's taking me to her riding lessons, I'll take some pix.

Yesterday I boxed up about 40 lbs of photos and photo albums, this morning shipped them at the UPS store. Sister has a box of photos which she picked up before I knew I would be here before the folks moved, and I have a couple of more shoe boxes filled with photos to add to that. I should be able to re-box and ship tomorrow afternoon.


Today Mom came at about noon and we went through (with Dad) all the dining room cabinets and kitchen cabinets culling out the stuff to give away, then I took all mom's clothes from the upstairs master bedroom closet and we separated them into "take" and "leave". Yesterday we had done the two downstairs bedroom closets. Mom was in her wheel chair for the latter, having used her walker till then. She expects to be released from the nursing home on Tuesday, in time to move to the new apartment (which is owned by the same company which runs the nursing home).

We got a lot done, and I am very happy to have been able to help. I took lots of pictures of the view, and a couple of Mom & Dad, which I'll upload to flickr when I get home.
