LUNAR the Livermore Unit of the National Assn. of Rocketry held a model rocket launch on the runway of Moffet Field in Mountain View, as part of NASA Ames' Moonfest. There were models of all descriptions, including two flying crayons, a miniature LEM module mounted on a bottle rocket, a rocket-propelled porta-potty, and a whole slew of Saturn V's in various sizes.
Lots of good shots, thanks to bright lighting conditions and a 1/8000 sec shutter speed. See the whole collection clicky clicky
LUNAR's next launch will be Saturday, Au 15 9:00am - 1:00pm at Moffet Field.
