Watching a Hitchcock film, it was pointed out that in the Arab world one eats only with one's right hand, for sanitation reasons. Which prompted a tangential thought that in the Arab world, the traditional punishment for stealing to the have one's right hand cut off. Putting the two together, that's pretty much a death sentence, isn't it?
