Snafu

The good news is the AT&T tech was at the junction box about a half block away at 9:10 am, which is pretty good for a 9-11 window. And that's where the good news ends. It took a while to find the phone punch-down box at the apartment, and it was a mess. The tech wasn't able to locate the signal from the junction box, so now we're waiting for someone from the maintenance department to fix that. No idea how long that will take. Prior to this discovery he told me that no, they won't come in on the existing coax cable he will have to run a cat5 wire from the phone box. Which is on the other side of the building. It's a very long cable run, not good. And getting the wire into the computer room will be a challenge.
