Flusterating

At work today, everything I started died right there. None of the fruit in the break room was ripe. Grumble. It will be better tomorrow.

Home, watched an episode of The Mentalist, which continues to be pretty watchable, though they are getting all angsty lately.

Almost done with Ruth Rendell's Monster in the Box, which is very absorbing.

Did complete one major project, and will be bringing DVDs for my sisters this weekend of the family home movies from 1957-8. Corel has seriously messed up Ulead's DVD software, but the Epson Artisan 835 prints DVDs way quickly.

Tomorrow I'll try to start on the next DVD. There will probably be 8 in all.

Change the laws?

[livejournal.com profile] susandennis reports that at jury selection, some of the prospective jurors were asked if they could change one law, what would it be?

I'm thinking my first choice would be to create one law which removed criminal penalties for possession and use of all drugs. This bill would allow licensed liquor stores to sell all recreational drugs at a fixed, fair price.
Next up would be a repeal of the appropriations bill which funds the military efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan
Then a law which forbids mortgage holders to foreclose. Let them take out "bad loan" insurance instead.
Prostitution needs to be legalized.
I'd like to see English made the official language of the USA, and remove other languages from anything other than medical care services.
And then I want a pony. :-)
