Up early to take the car in for its 30k mile checkup. They paid for the rental car. Hertz desk conveniently located in their showroom. Drove to work, expecting a call at any moment from them about the brakes, but nothing until 2:30 when it was all done. Everything is fine. Returned the rental car, had a bit of hassle with the Toyota credit card people - but they covered about half the cost with points.
Back to work, it was now rush hour and there were a lot of slowdowns since I was driving with the commute instead of against it.
Did a lot of routine boring tests at work, the machine kept crashing, though. Monday I get a different one. Right now there are three big (52", 46" and 42") TVs in my cubicle, we need to find them a home.
Straight home after work, traffic was slow but not impossible. I finished DVD #4 of the home movies, and spent the evening cranking copies and printing them. The new printer whips them out quickly. I'm impressed.
Plans for tomorrow:
Change the litterboxes
Pile a LOT of gear into the car and bring it to Goodwill.
Maybe recycle a lot of boxes
Try to cope with the rain.
