Insomnia, sleeping in and Cat stuff
Jul. 12th, 2020 12:20 amBP meter showed my pulse at 80. Tried to sleep but 1:30 am got up and turned on the PC and played Christine Perri songs on YouTube. I had no idea she had written so many great songs, powerful lyrics and melodies. And she looks like a runaway teenager but with more tattoos than average.
This one first:
Arms
And this one, A Thousand Years
And many more.
I don't like the official music videos for the most part, they try to tell a different story than the lyrics.
Two egg creams and a glass of chocolate milk later, to bed.
Woke up at 4:30 for a pit stop and at 8 with the alarm. Weighed myself (+2.2 lbs) and went back to sleep till 11.
The usual breakfast except the HB egg was a little stale.
One storm chaser. Nothing on Tivo. Some interesting shows on the History Channel. Completely forgot Mempis
Corn and chicken from KFC for lunch. Lamyay dessert. Spook thought she wanted some, but what she really wanted was to jump onto the foot rest and get brushed.
Storm chaser found a major downpour with a lightning show. Another storm chaser found a thunderstorm in the distance. Followed them both till dinner time. Mashed potatoes and gravy, two KFC drumsticks, a biscuit, Cola, chocolate ice cream sandwich.
UFO fact finder on History. Australian Rules football during commercial breaks. That is one strange sport. Like Rugby for Gentlemen.
Surprise email from out of the blue - the couple who adopted Spot sent a photo of him owning their sofa, thanking me for the little jaguar who has made their lives so much better. I had been thinking about them yesterday, hoping he was still doing well. I replied with a short version of my tale of woe and a photo of Spook.
One of my favorite RPCVs found my FB page again and liked something so I sent her a note, and she replied with a how are you message. Kate had married a Thai man, he passed away tragically a couple of years ago. Not sure where she was a volunteer, not Thailand though.
Checked the animal shelter, my cat is no longer on the adoptable list. :-(
And there are no other winners. I'll keep checking. I suppose weekends are good for new meat.
BP is back to normal. Pulse 70.
Plans for tomorrow:
Try to have a normal day
Maybe walk to the mailbox in the morning before it gets too hot.
Maybe ride the bike there?
