All I wanted to do was lower my Internet speed (and charges) and add BBB America to my lineup. But the net result was a higher monthly fee. WTF?
They don't make it easy to phone a human, but they do have online chat, and it turns out that event though my account shows I have all my own equipment, adding more channels triggered something which had them sending me a modem/router and charging me for it. It only took 5 minutes for them to reboot my modem and lower my bit rate. But my Tivo still shows no signal on BBC America, so I went back to chat, where I got someone totally clueless who kept putting me on hold. I finally figured out that I need to go to Cox and swap Tivo modem cards. My favorite store is closed Sundays, but there are two almost as close which look likely. The nearest one is in an apartment complex, so Plan B to Henderson may need to be invoked. Luckily there are no programs tonight or tomorrow morning which need to be recorded.
1 pm dentist appointment to have them tweak the wax impression for my partial. After a few minutes an admin I have never seen before comes over to me and asks if I'd made an appointment. I had. She was covering for them not calling me to let me know the lab did not finish the wax thing. Maybe Thursday. They will call me. Boo Hiss.
Next stop was the car wash. Then Trop, where I bought a male and two female red swordtails. They had many tanks with many angelfish of assorted colors and sizes, but I'm happy with the three I have. Would have liked a gourami or two, but none caught my eye, and they were out of khuli loaches.
Home, two packages in a storage mailbox. Shirts and shorts from Amazon, insulin pen tips from Humana, the cheap, poorly made brand. Something was happening at the #2 clubhouse.
The car was down to 30% battery so I plugged it in.
Spook has been jumping onto my lap and then moving to the side table where I've cleared off enough space for her to be table cat. Jade cried a couple of times, I went in to check on her and found her on the tree in the hutch, and later on the floor on the other side of the tree. She loves being petted, but won't jump onto my lap or let me pick her up. She purrs constantly. I can smell the pheromones but I don't think they are working yet.
Fruit for lunch, with some chocolate dollop shortbread cookies. Banana and PNB breakfast. Corn dogs for dinner, sherbet. Too lazy to make a salad. Or maybe it's because it was Ozempic day.
Fired up Amazon Prime Video and watched several Mystery Files episodes. Lots of character assassination in those. They loved Saladin, though.
The Nexar cam is solidly on the windshield behind the rear view mirror and mostly turns on and starts recording when I open the door to enter the car, and shuts off a couple of minutes after I lock the car. It's easy to share a clip to FB. The short trip from the car wash to Trop got captured, but not the drive through the car wash, unless I deleted it by mistake (possible). It caught the whole drive home, nice view of the mountain. I'll have to work on how to trim the clips.
Busy week ahead. Cox tomorrow, and taking out the trash bins.

Sell my Pixel phones and maybe a tablet or two
Load up some novels on my tablet, need to get back to reading.
