Last night when I got home, M, the woman who had fostered Maam, texted me, asked to come over today around noon, after she was done teaching her class. Perfect timing, I have missed her a lot and she had not met Jade yet.
Did a load of laundry, and the two new hummingbird feeders arrived so I filled them and replaced the ones in the front of the house with them, moved those to the back and porch. As I was hanging the one in back an Annie's male swooped by to check me out.
Loaded XView and copied a few dam photos to the calendar folder. Stamps were delivered yesterday. Also played with Photoshop on one picture:

Put on the kettle and set up for two cups of mint tea. M arrived around 12:30. We chatted, she had brought chocolate croissants, then went to Jade's room where the kitten was curled up in her tree hutch. She let us pet her, but was very nervous and would not come out, even for canned food.
After M left, I watched some football on Tivo, then drove to Albertson's for fruit juices, cream of... soups, pumpkin pie and roast turkey legs. They did not have legs but they had dark meat in the hot food bins. Shortages were evident - The only packs of Gatorade were zero sugar, they had no large jars of Strawberry-Kiwi juice. What they did have was row upon row of variations on Ocean Spray cranberry juices. Hundreds of them. Yuk. I did get house brand apple and white grape. There was no cream of celery soup from any brand. I settled for cream of mushroom, plain - there was none with bacon. The price of egg nog has tripled. There was only one can of whipped cream. Macadamia nuts were marked down - to $1 more than their usual price. I had Nyquil on my list but that Albertson's makes you pay for drug store items separately, and there's a long line of people wanting to do their entire check-out there.
By the time I was done it was dark & chilly. The mailbox had two drugs from Humana which I had asked them not to ship.
Delivered: another 10' of garden hose. I hope it will work as an extension. Will see tomorrow.
Watched more football, played on Twitter and FB.
Jade was by the gate looking like she wanted out, so I let her out, and went back to the livingroom. She checked out the guest bathroom door and the hall mirror, then cautiously went towards the bedroom. Spook was under the bed. But not for long. Next time I checked, Spook was in the middle of Jade's room's floor, wagging her tail and staring at Jade, who was hiding on the base of the tree, making low growling sounds. Looking at the webcams, Spook had already climbed the tree and inspected inside the hutch. I sat down and watched for a bit, then motioned Spook to leave, which she did. She looked a little guilty.
The good news is there was no real fighting.
I'd asked M what to do with the 35# bag of kibble which I can't use and she had no suggestions, so it's out on the curb with the other bulk garbage.
Tomorrow:
Some more Tivo
Try the hose extension
Hang up the shirts
Dentist at 3:30
