Up at 9-ish, quiet day. Banana breakfast. Tried two of the Murray's sheep cheeses  for lunch. Need some sourdough slices for the good stuff.  Tuna casserole frozen meal partially consumed for dinner. The antidote was a cola float with mint chip.

Spent some time on Twitter making fun of the reality shows.

Spook was in front of Jade's gate a lot. Jade was not impressed.

Delivered in time for my 4 pm nap was a beautiful purple plush blanket, but it's way lighter than expected. However when I spread it out on the bed Spook claimed it and luxuriated all afternoon on it.

Email from the calendar printers that my April photo was too big, and did I want  to fix it? Sure did.

This was one of those photos I knew would be on the calendar as soon as I took it,  but I also knew it needed to be cropped (most calendar photos are fine at the standard Nikon size). Photoshop settings were messed up when I cropped it and made it deeper than I asked. I had to get the settings back to where they were supposed to be, re-crop from the bottom until the image was 3375x2625 pixels. I had made the mistake of cropping from the top. It took a couple of tries to center the photo, but it was done in a few minutes. Printer person sent email asking me to check it & re-approve it. Did that.

Did some housekeeping: printed gold labels with my copyright info, which get stuck on the back of the calendar. Printed up way too many return address labels with "USA" on them. Opened the envelope of stamps from USPS and made folders for the $1, $2 and $5 ones, and also the postcard (40 cents) ones. Domestic will cost $2.36 so I'll put on $2.40. Overseas is $9 even. Canada is $4.03. I have plenty of 1, 2 and 3-cent stamps.

I already have a box of envelopes and as far as I know my mailmerge spreadsheet only is missing two addresses (out of about 40). Two Bay Area friends who are between abodes. Back in the day they would be at BASFA [livejournal.com profile] basfa meetings, but those are online now and they do not attend.

In other news, the new feeders are attracting lots of hummingbirds and frustrating the finches.

Tomorrow:
Mailbox for an Amazon delivery
Sourdough baguettes

Spook absolutely loves the bedspread. It's microfiber and a light kind of plush, deep purple. She claimed it, and stayed all night.

Lots of trips to the toilet, I think thanks to adding the beta blocker Tamsulosin to my bedtime routine. Spook saved my place.

8 am wake-up routine woke me up enough the turn the lights and music off. When I finally got out of bed at 9:30 I went right back to bed. Off balance, and wondering if my blood pressure had gone low. Finally showered and dressed a little before 11 and Hgl was way low. So breakfast was my last piece of cake (red velvet).

The weather was mocking me. I had wanted to put a sunset photo in the calendar, but there were no clouds all last week. Today there were plenty.

Now that I had the good sheep milk cheese, I needed water crackers and a sourdough baguette. Also on my list was malted milk balls, nyquil, dayquil. One place which had them all was Winco, which I usually avoid except for small purchases because it really takes two people shopping together - you have to bag your own items, and they send them down the ramp as quick as possible. It's also a huge place, and the bakery is at opposite ends from the bulk items, and there are row upon row of bulk items, so finding malt balls took some time.

Stopped at the mailbox on the way out, there was something from Amazon I didn't need, the weekly shopper, plus spam from Humana and BofA.

Sliced up the baguette, bagged and froze 2/3 of it and put the rest on a plate and opened one of the packets of my very favorite soft cheese: Brebirousse D'Argental. I thank [livejournal.com profile] susandennis for the addiction. Long ago she mentioned it during a period when she had a cheese of the month club membership. It used to be easy for find in my local deli, but over the years it has become harder and harder to find, so now I spend too much $$ ordering it fromMurray's Cheese in NY. So that was lunch.

Not much online, or on Tivo until football. Wasted some time on Bravo, Real Housewives was visiting Iceland. Hard to follow their drama thanks to horribly inept editing, lots of needless flashbacks, and not a lot of continuity.

Urology called, the doctor has scheduled a procedure before my appointment, so can I show up an hour later? Sure, you already delayed this a month. :-(

GoDaddy has pulled the plug on their free email. $30 a year per address to use Microsoft 365. Boo hiss. Support showed me how to use the web server as a (slower) email server. I had to "repair" my Outlook and android email accounts.

Tomorrow:
More cheese
More malt balls
Urology appointment
