December Fools Day
Dec. 2nd, 2021 12:06 amUp at 9-ish, quiet day. Banana breakfast. Tried two of the Murray's sheep cheeses for lunch. Need some sourdough slices for the good stuff. Tuna casserole frozen meal partially consumed for dinner. The antidote was a cola float with mint chip.
Spent some time on Twitter making fun of the reality shows.
Spook was in front of Jade's gate a lot. Jade was not impressed.
Delivered in time for my 4 pm nap was a beautiful purple plush blanket, but it's way lighter than expected. However when I spread it out on the bed Spook claimed it and luxuriated all afternoon on it.
Email from the calendar printers that my April photo was too big, and did I want to fix it? Sure did.
This was one of those photos I knew would be on the calendar as soon as I took it, but I also knew it needed to be cropped (most calendar photos are fine at the standard Nikon size). Photoshop settings were messed up when I cropped it and made it deeper than I asked. I had to get the settings back to where they were supposed to be, re-crop from the bottom until the image was 3375x2625 pixels. I had made the mistake of cropping from the top. It took a couple of tries to center the photo, but it was done in a few minutes. Printer person sent email asking me to check it & re-approve it. Did that.
Did some housekeeping: printed gold labels with my copyright info, which get stuck on the back of the calendar. Printed up way too many return address labels with "USA" on them. Opened the envelope of stamps from USPS and made folders for the $1, $2 and $5 ones, and also the postcard (40 cents) ones. Domestic will cost $2.36 so I'll put on $2.40. Overseas is $9 even. Canada is $4.03. I have plenty of 1, 2 and 3-cent stamps.
I already have a box of envelopes and as far as I know my mailmerge spreadsheet only is missing two addresses (out of about 40). Two Bay Area friends who are between abodes. Back in the day they would be at BASFA
basfa meetings, but those are online now and they do not attend.
In other news, the new feeders are attracting lots of hummingbirds and frustrating the finches.
