Dec. 19th, 2021 08:47 pmDid not do an entry last night because there wasn't anything to enter. I took a couple of benadryl at about midnight, hoping for sleep but was up on the throne every 20 minutes till about 4. I did find a more comfortable underwear combination, though and slept till 6-ish then again 8. A friend had left voicemail that she received the calendar, as is her habit, but also her habit it so tell me everyone I knew or might have known in Seattle who has died or is dying, so instead of returning her call I waited a few hours and emailed her thanks for her call, and what my current medical state is. She is a nurse, and emailed me back all kinds of related gloom and doom. Not what I needed.
Another voicemail reminding me of Monday's denture clinic appointment.
Bottom line I was still feeling drugged almost all day, and sat in the recliner watching a couple of my favorite Twitch channels from long ago. And there may have been an NFL game.
Today was also a sleepy morning, but this time with only Ibuprofen and Tylenol.
Amazon shipping via USPS FAILED to deliver ear wax removal items and my right ear was driving me crazy, so I braved the chilly weather and drove to CVS, got three kinds of product, and they had Ghirardelli dark chocolate mint squares on sale so I bought two packs.
Home, got ready for the 15-minute ear soak. Told Alexa to set an alarm. Next thing I knew Alexa was waking me up. Quite a deep nap. Used the bulb to wash out my ear and it feels fine now. Yay.
Somewhere in there I stopped at the mailbox, nothing in there except spam.
Watched the Ravens give away their game to the Packers. Poor choice of plays, especially trying for 2 when their excellent placekicker would have tied the game and gone into OT. They probably still would have lost, but there would have been a chance.
Had some crab claws for dinner but only got through half. Spook also stopped accepting donations after 3 pieces.
Watched more Twitch. One streamer wen to the top of the Las Vegas Eiffel Tower and showed the spectacular view of the Belagio fountains. Much prettier than from ground level. But they need colored lights. Another streamer in FL is still trying to catch a 3rd shark (as of now he has another 90 minutes to own the record). He is joined by a guy from Europe who was one of his first followers a couple of years ago.
I see NOLA shut out Tom Brady. That's nice.
In cat news, I emailed the place Jade came from asking them to take her back. Between my medical issues, her hostility towards Spook and no progress in letting me pick her up, she needs a one-cat home, preferably with children who can spend time with her.
Looking online for someone to de-soot my fireplace I find I have been doing it WRONG. The glass doors need to be OPEN when there is a fire lit. After medical stuff is sorted I'll call for help.
