Physical Therapy walk, and I fired my nurse
The nurse called yesterday wanting to come this morning at 9. I suggested 9:30 and she agreed, knowing my Physical Therapist was going to be here at 10:30. 9:30 no show, I phoned her and she sounded like she was asleep. She claimed there was a power outage, and she would come at 11.
PT arrived 15 minutes late but we got a lot done. She spotted me as I left the walker in the laundry room, went out the back door and down the steps to the carport. She got my cane and a Ring cam battery and I walked to the shed and inside it, and replaced the battery in the camera there.
Then back up the steps, and I pulled the comforter out of the dryer and put it on the walker. Walked that to the bedroom.
She was fine with me not doing exercises as long as I did stuff.
Nurse shows up at noon. And hour late. I fired her and sent her away. Then I called her agency and asked them to find a different nurse. Unfortunately the first nurse who visited, who was excellent, has switched to part time and is working in a hospital, so no longer available.
Watched a lot of Olympics. Speed skating, ski jumping, slalom, luge.
5:30 pm, the social worker called (I expected that call 3 weeks ago) and she said she was new, she had no idea the first nurse had requested a call, she wasn't on board then. She wanted to visit Friday, but I have a PCP appointment which I was hoping she would arrange transportation for. She blah blah blah about how it takes 3 weeks to get transport approved. I replied that I have been waiting 3 weeks. I gave her the PCP phone number, they might have a way to get me there.
Solar panels for the outdoor ring cams arrived, I installed one on the porch cam, but the back door cam won't plug in correctly. I'll have to remove it from the wall to see what's wrong, but I didn't find the right special screwdriver till after dark. To be continued tomorrow.
The new silky robe is pretty and has pockets but it's too small. Back to the soft stretchy robe tomorrow.
Watching CNN and MSNBC reporting on the same old stories. :-(
Ordered some Girl Scout cookies online. Shipping cost more than 2 boxes of cookies.
Was going to have some Murray's Cheese sheep milk cheese on crackers for dinner, but the cheese had turned. Bummer.
