Blown Away
Apr. 12th, 2022 08:40 pmThe wind storm was unrelenting, 30 MPH sustained, 70 MPH gusts, seemed to peak around 3 am. No damage to my house, but the office chair on the porch moved a few feet a couple of times, and some neighbor's chair cushion landed on my carport.
The park did a good job of getting the street sweeper out early and often. Lots of handyman vans driving around.
I didn't lose power, which is good because I did 2 loads of laundry.
The comforter is in the closet, and has been replaced by the orange quilt which I like, and so does Spook. We'll see if she joins me in bed tonight.
American Idol second round of the top 24 was short on talent compared to the first 12. And one of the singers I liked most decided to quit the show after her performance "for personal reasons". Sadder because her family was in the audience.

Saw on amateur channel 5 this remarkable throwing out the first pitch:
And Gilbert Gottfried has died. I am sad for anyone's death, but am happy his annoying and often gross voice has been stilled.
Avocado and banana breakfast, but the banana is still on the tray. Junk food for lunch, meatish Swedeballs for dinner.
On Prime, watched the second episode of Feed. Very dark, poorly scripted. On twitch, was a little late following the 4 storm chasers who were streaming.
Just before 5 pm, doctor's office called, they want me to come in tomorrow. Sigh. I really just need antibiotics.
Spent way too much time setting up Outlook on my Pixel phone. GMail sucks for POP accounts. My email server is not forgiving of extra spaces after user names and passwords, and Outlook keeps changing the outgoing server port number to its default.
Tomorrow:
Doctor at 10:30
Maybe hit Albertson's on the way back.
