I sewed nothing. My luggage tags showed San Jose, CA. I figured my family's accents were a give away, and told people where we really were from. Traveled in Ireland and Great Britain.
Never got an ounce of flak for where we were from. And this was right after the London Bombings last summer.
YMMV, but I don't think they hate us. George Bush may be, but not us.
