Your situation about medical records makes me appreciate the HMO that I use (and have been for many years) whose records are all on-line accessible to all the specialists when they need to see them. I remember a few years when getting my annual eye exam the doctor said - that a particular drug I was taking was not recommended for some eye condition that I had.
