Fairly Okay Friday

howeirdEver since I bought my Dell XPS13 Ultrabook 9350 on 07 NOV 2015, I had to charge the battery at least once a week, because it would drain to about 25%. Microsoft releases updates on Thursdays, so I developed a habit of plugging in the laptop on Thursday, running "check updates", powering off the machine and leaving it plugged in until it was fully charged (there's an indicator light which goes out when it's charged).
The last two Thursdays, despite being unplugged all week (I fear battery fires) it was charged 100%. I guess Dell applied a fix to the long known battery drain issue. It only took them 7 years.
It may be time for a new laptop, but I rarely use it. And the current price with the upgrades I want is $1600.
None of the 10 avocados I bought the other day are ripe, so I had a banana only for breakfast. Lunch was scrambled eggs with cheese. No milk so I used whipped cream. Nuts and honey snack, berries dessert, beef and noodles (frozen) dinner, Thin mints & chocolate milk dessert.
The usual on Tivo, only one storm chaser on Twitch and he got skunked. For a change I switched the TV to antenna mode, we get a lot of solid signals here. Stumbled on a movie channel and caught the last half of The Day Mars Invaded Earth. Amazing mansion set. Leading man Kent Taylor bears a resemblance to Vincent Price, who would have fit this 1962 role to a T.
MSNBC and CNN both managed to cover other subjects than Ukraine.
It seems that the trend for criminals caught in Las Vegas is to have their necks fully tattooed. Rappers as well. I think it's a disgusting look. I don't like tattoos much to begin with.
A couple of days ago I ordered about 6 t-shirts. One arrived today.
