Dictatorships get rid of voices which offend them, and force their people to listen to their toadies. Democracies allow their people the choice of when to change the channel or just throw the damned radio out the window. Being pro-choice applies to everything.
And we're not talking about hate here. Imus said nothing about hating. He made a rude comment. He simply called a group of fine women athletes "nappy-headed whores". Had they as much class as they had talent, they would have ignored the comment as beneath their notice.
