eh, I don't care so much. If I was working a reg department or was a convention treasurer, and somebody offered to supply enough lanyards to exceed our forecast needs for free, I wouldn't turn them down...
...but if Bad Boys was going to give Costume-Con 26 lanyards, we'd probably ask the owner to show up for at least a bit in drag as "Mama" from his advertisements.
Me? I refused it and put the badge on one of my badge holders using my dandy clip from another con. I thought the lanyards were tacky, and I'm not so sure I would want them at CC26. Besides they would clash with most people's costumes. I love the around the neck badge holders and use them all the time. I find clipping the badge to the badge holder means that I can then see whether I can get enough ribbons to trip over. I haven't actually succeeded at a single con yet, but I'm gonna keep trying.
On the other hand, what with Mr. Drink Tank and Ms. Absinthe in residence, perhaps they expected rowdy parties where some might find that 800 number useful. ;-)

I am wondering what amount of buisness that SweetOnGeeks.com got from their one banner hung way up high.
