911 Degrees of Separation
Saw the movie last weekend, thought the best part was the first 10 minutes where he reminded everyone of what a non-President W was. I wasn't impressed with the woman who was a loyal military supporter till her son got killed. While I feel her grief, I'm not won over by hystrionics. I thought the time spent following her around would have been better spent divided between five others who lost their sons. Because I agree with Moore's message, I was disappointed that he did a shoddy job making his case. Several quotes out of context, and he could have done a LOT more to show the structure of the bin Laden family.
Tonight is my last night of beginning Java class. What a bizarre language. Nothing at all like Great White BASIC. I may have to take another beginning class to nail down the fundamentals. Sun's and O'Reilly's books are big and heavy with many pages and a CD, but they don't do a good job of covering the basics. So I can make a pretty GUI, but don't know how to pass variables reliably.
I'm enjoying work, we're more than halfway through the project, and I'm booked to go onsite for two weeks at the end of the month. When I return I'm expecting to be unemployed for what will probably be way too long.
