I'm sorry she didn't see it through to the end. For me, it would have been better to let the delegates vote instead of making the Democratic Convention the rubber stamp which the Republican Convention will be.

But she did it more than gracefully, she didn't just throw in the towel, she threw her complete support to Obama. Gone was the strident tone of desperation. She sounded like the Hilary who started the campaign, knowing she was a sure winner. And she looked beautiful. Having the weight of the world lifted from your shoulders does wonders for the complexion.

If Obama's smart, he'll ask her and Bill to stump for him in the states she won in the primaries.

She has only suspended her campaign, so her delegates are not automatically released. Some will probably switch to Obama to show their support to him, others will still vote for Hillary at the convention, thus showing their support to her.
And she will have some say in the platform, that one can be sure.
She's not Gone and Forgotten. There will a Good Hillary Showing at the Convention and we'll have a better platform and convention because of it.
One thing is for certain, a number of years ago Jesse Jackson did a nice job of running for president. He didn't get the nod, but he put a Black face on a presidential candidate. So when Barrack came along, he didn't stick out like a WTF?
The next woman to run for president will have a much easier time of it because of Hillary. And who knows, it may even BE Hillary. She's still got a number of years left in her.
I'm hoping she gets most of her voters over to Barrack so we can have a Democrat in the White House again.
There is a LOT of House Cleaning that needs to happen in Washington DC.

Hilary essentially called for her supporters to cast their votes for Obama. The speech said that just as clearly as if she had used those words. Come August 25, "all her base belong to him".

Of course she will have some influence on the party platform, but frankly, I see nothing in her platform which Obama supporters would have an issue with. This was a race of personalities, not issues.

Don't even get me started on that narcissistic phony Jackson. The thought of him even being considered as a Presidential nominee makes me projectile vomit. I had to spend two days with that charlatan once, back in 1978 and now I can't stand seeing his face or hearing his voice. Maybe I'll do a posting on that. Or not. Jackson ran in 1984. The fact that it took 24 years for another A-A to make a serious bid says something about him, I think.
