Sometimes a Moment...
Friday, about 3 pm. We're about three and a half hours into what turns out to be a four and a half hour tech support call. Brad, the engineer at the phone company in Iowa, and I are waiting for a network technician from another company to check for packets.
A couple of weeks ago I posted photos from my trip to Iowa which Brad said he liked a lot. We got to talking about what a nice All-American town he lives in, and soon he was describing this year's 4th of July parade.
"This guy standing next to me," Brad says, "tells me the Russians walked on the moon first, but nobody knows because they kept it a secret. He told me this while the American flag was passing by."
"I took his ice cream away."
