Belt + Suspenders
Last night's format of the backup drive took till 12:30 am, the full backup using Vista's built-in application ran overnight successfully. This morning as insurance I did a drag-and-drop copy of my user directory (which includes documents, pictures, video, etc) and left that to run while I went to work.
Tonight will nuke Vista-32 and install Vista-64 and start reloading my apps. Office, Photoshop, scanner and video apps first.
Ran the Windows 7 Advisor, it said everything is compatible except the scanner, for which it suggests new drivers, except Epson hasn't built them yet.
