93° outside. Too hot to sit on the porch

It cooled down later and there was a breeze so I sat out on the back lancing (there's a comfy padded folding chair).

Put out a whole can of food for the feral, he vacuumed it up while I wasn't looking, but when I came out to get the bowl he made sure I saw it was him.

Otherwise boring day.

Except for Biden's speech, which was forceful, but fell short of promising to intervene. Same issue as WWII. Nazis should have been stopped way sooner.

Internet outage, Wasp swatter. T-Mobile FAIL

Still waking up every 90 minutes to pee. But final wake-up, which should have been 8 am with the lights on and music on the Sonos speakers got slept through because Cox cable had a brief outage and without a network connection Google stuff no workie.

Telling Google "Cheer me up" runs that routine manually. Which I did at about 8:45. Lots of rumors and misinformation about the outage on the park's FB pages.

Getting used to my usual morning routine, weighing myself, showering. Remembering how to use the bath towel to dry myself off took a few days. The body wash and shampoo had been sitting in the dispenser for a while, refilled them this morning.

While on the PC a wasp landed on my arm, then flew to the window. The office windows don't seem to open so I found a fly swatter and it took a few swats to hit the target.

Hgl was okay, took  the usual drugs, banana and two not entirely ripe avocados with fresh squeezed lime juice for breakfast.

Read the news, most of it.

Twitter was all about impeaching Clarence Thomas, because his wife is a ditz. MSNBC 11th hour hostess needs the read the Constitution, because a Supe can be impeached. They are not completely a law unto themselves.

The process of impeaching a Supreme Court justice is identical to the more well-tread procedure for removing a sitting president. First, the House must draft articles of impeachment. The House then needs only a majority, however slim, to impeach a Supreme Court justice or any other federal judge.

<hr>
Still having problems getting the Samsung phone to pair with my second Hgl meter, recognize my face or fingerprint, or respond to touches in the corners of the screen. Enough already. Drove to T-Mobile thinking about a Motorola phone but then remembered what a mess Moto's cell phone group is in, and decided to look at the Pixel 6. They were out of stock. Because of the plan I'm on, I have to pick up the phone from the store. They expect more in Monday noon-ish. So I'll call then.

Picked up the mail on the way home, all spam.

Google sells unlocked pixels with different colors and more RAM, and I thought about that but will go with the T-mobile phone.

Leaky Thursday

Spook slept in the bed most of last night. When I got up she came out from under the bed.
Thursday is my day to check for updates on the laptop. The new fingerprint reader crapped out. I thought it was the drivers, but after uninstalling and reinstalling, still not working, Installed the old reader and it was flaky. Problem is the USB port. I'll try switching the new reader to the USB port on the other side.

Today was the SCOTUS session for witnesses to say their piece and each senator got 5 minutes to grill them. But with 13 witnesses at the table the Repugnicans only talked to the anti people and the dems mostly talked to the sheriff.

Tivo:
TMZ, PTI, morning news, Bee Czar
Prime Video - Picard season 2 episode 3, then Will Wheaton interviews and fanboys Patrick Stewart. Skipped the next two - Q and some new actress.

Back to Tivo, live, CNN and MSNBC.

Put food out for the stray cat, who poked his head and almost came up the ramp. He tripped the rear door cam this morning, Ring thought it was a person.

Snacks all day.

Delivered: bathroom paper cups and a 6-pack of 120 Polident tablets. I thought I was ordering 1.
a dozen small coconut waters.

SCOTUS, some Tivo, harvesting Kindle books

Watched most of today's supreme court nom hearing. Ted Cruz needs a time-out or three. Hawley doesn't know what judges do, or that his complaints are really Congress' screw ups. There were a couple of Republicans who managed civility in a smarmy way. The woman from TN comes across as a sweet southern belle with claws and not much education.

Booker took his half hour to monologue  about how jazzed he was that there's a black woman nominated. The new CA senator, who went to MIT, also was jazzed, white middle class man that he is. Judge Jackson was restrained for the most part.

Married At First Sight mid-season panel pretty much agreed with my assessments.
Superman and Lois continues to grasp at straws for a reason to have this season.
PTI was as usual.

Snacks for meals. Ordered lobster from Red Lobster. It was meh.

Delivery - lots of undies.

Online, harvested as bunch of free sci-fi books and copied them to the tablet.

so-so Tuesday

When the alarm went off I turned the lights out and slept for another hour and a half.

Watched the Channel 5 and Channel 3 news 6 am broadcasts on Tivo. I continue to be astounded by the unprofessional content on Channel 5. Nice to see a person in the chopper for Channel 3.

Avocado and banana breakfast.

Bologna and strawberries for lunch.

Been mostly drinking soda water with lime juice. And some plain water and some cranberry juice.

No real dinner, but I added a super-rich chocolate cake slice to my Albertson's order. Once again lots of items were not shopped. Ordered some more coconut water from Walmart.

Delivered by a neighbor - alcohol pads and vitamin D sent to the wrong address.

From UPS: two pair of size 44 wrangler jeans shorts and an envelope containing a recall order for some drugs Jade never would eat, so they have long since been discarded.

Spook has been on the carpet in a few of her usual spots. When I got out of bed this morning she came out from under it. She played lap cat for a while. She likes to be "brushed" with the Tivo remote. Probably because it is the same color as her brush.

Watched a lot of the SCOTUS hearing. There are several GOP senators who are seriously clueless.

Tivo: 90 Day turned out to be that disgusting 1000-pound show (wrong EPG listing).

Hot Bench was almost funny. A landlady with no receipts against a teacher with all the evidence he needed.

As I'm watching MSNBC a guy came to the door, rang the bell, pounded on the wall. I turned on the live view of the porch cam and asked who he was. "Security" After the third time I asked he said "wrong address". I don't think we have security here. I'll post the video on the park FB page.

A1C test, finger bling, CSPAN SCOTUS coverage

Heard the bulk garbage truck at about 7:30. They took the recliner! Yay!

Fasting from 9 pm for 9 am A1C blood draw at the nearby Quest lab. I thought the cardiologist ordered a whole panel, but it was just one small vial and just A1C. Got the results this evening 7.5, which is too high but lowest this year for me.

Home, breakfast was the last slice of banana cream pie and an avocado with lime juice.

Watched some of Channel 5 6 am news. It's FOX, but they emphasize they are local to separate them from the national ultra-conservative non-news FOX. Then the 6am Channel 3 news, which is hosted by The Wagners, a middle-aged white couple. I have been Tivo-ing them for weeks because they have a helicopter and had announced they were going to have a woman in it doing traffic reports, replacing the late "chopper Tom". Today finally they did it, they shifted their weather woman to the chopper and hired a new weather woman. Yay!

More Tivo fare, 90 Day Fiance - Before the 90 Days in which Jasmine and Gino, both total misfits and an example of "love makes no sense" got engaged. Memphis finally wore down Hamza to say he would sign a post-nup. Usman gave his pug-ugly 50-year-old a private concert surrounded by roses, and she decided not to fly out a day early. This is a clear case of what would you do for a green card. Mahogany walked out on Ben leaving him stranded a $250 car ride from her home. He should have just got the bus to the airport. Ben has not had a visit from the Clue Fairy lately.
Followed by the Pillow Talk show, in which 90 Day alumni pairs comment on the episode.

Bologna for lunch, berries for dessert.

3 pm got a manicure, updated my finger bling.

finger bling

Picked up the mail on the way home. A letter from the IRS saying their records don't jive with mine, and I'm getting an additional $1300 refund. Wow.

Dragged the two garbage bins back to their place on the carport.

Fired up CSPAN for the Senate SCOTUS confirmation hearings, but it was just the committee one by one taking 10 minutes each to say what is on their minds. The candidate had to just sit there. I left at lunch break. I guess she gets to speak and answer questions tomorrow.

Delivered - some undies.

Dinner - corn dogs and baked beans. Strawberries and whipped cream. Switched from cranberry juice to soda water, with and without fresh squeezed lime juice.

Adventures in plumbing, and it rained

Got up at 6:30 in case the plumber arrived at the start of the 8-10 window. He got here at 9. With a trainee assistant. He gave me an estimate, which was about 1/3 more than expected but still reasonable. They installed a new kitchen faucet and in-sink-erator. Took about an hour.

Something about getting up early is time goes slower. Sometime while the plumbing was being done it rained just enough to get the street wet. Not measurable.

Watched random TV, then the Florida fisherman on Twitch. After an hour or so I went to take a nap, Made up for the hour of waking up early.

Fired up Prime Video, Picard was available, I watched three episodes. Or maybe it was two slow-moving ones.

Did 3 loads of laundry.

Took the garbage  out to the bins, Walked the old recliner down the ramp for pickup tomorrow morning. Dragged the bins to the curb too.

Tuna casserole from Stouffer's for dinner.

Spook slept behind the new recliner and spent too much of the day back there. She also played lap cat for a bit.

Prep Day

Nothing on the calendar today, but tomorrow a plumber is coming early to install a new garbage disposal and kitchen faucet, so I moved everything from below the sink to the top of the washer. I'd run and emptied the dishwasher yesterday.

Another chore done: removed the filter basket from the aquarium pump, washed it off and replaced the sponge with a new one. Then added three buckets of treated water to bring the tank level up.

Nothing on Tivo. Fired up the smart TV, opened Twitch and vegged out watching Soflowildlife in try to catch and tag fish. The weather was beautiful, he had a clear signal, and he was not catching much so it was relaxing. He talks too much and too rapidly so I muted him and listened to the Las Vegas/Clark County fire department scanner on the tablet's Scanner Pro app. That scanner had been out of service for weeks, nice to have it back again. Heard two building fires, a dumpster fire and a call for help to the Bureau of Land Management which had too many brush fires for LVFD to handle. Winds were fierce today. Also some ambulance calls, and the usual communications where a fire truck was sent to a scene without the full address and/or the code to get in.

Flipped between Top Rank Boxing and the UNLV/Arizona women's basketball game. It was very close, and UNLV got off to a good start but fell apart in the final 3 minutes. Note to Lady Rebels: passing the ball out of bounds is not a winning strategy. Spook sat on my lap for much of this.

Food: 2 avocados and a banana for breakfast, walnuts & cashews & honey snack. The las to the shrimp for lunch. Sat outside for a while with strawberries, coconut water and whipped cream. Almost did not have dinner - ended up with Lean Cuisine spaghetti & meatballs and a fruit cup.

A big distraction is my blood glucose meter stopped communicating with the phone app. Pulled out my spare meter, and the same thing. Removing and replacing the battery did not fix it - until I realized the el cheapo batteries I bought a ton of were under-powered. Found a Sony battery, and my meter perked up.

One other thing - for the first time since January 5 I took a shower. I don't have grab bars in there and it took till now to trust my balance. It was great. And a missing piece to my morning routine.

While I was in there I noticed the clock radio was still set for standard time. Easy to fix, later.

What else? Took the recycleds and the kitchen garbage to the bins outside.

Watched a hummingbird fight the honey bees for access to the feeder.

Read a chapter on the tablet's Kindle app from a truly trashy sci-fi novel. The 28th Gate

Tomorrow:

Chores Friday

Woke up 15 minutes before my alarm to Spook beating up Mirror Cat, and notifications from my phone that my Albertson's order had been delivered. The window for that order was 8 am to 2 pm. But the good thing about the shopper working early is all my items were still available. So I am set for a while with 4-berry and strawberries.

Breakfast was 2 small avocados and a banana. Snacked on cashews and walnuts drizzled with honey.

First chore: set up the ironing board, filled the water ~tank in the iron and set the iron to heat up to its highest setting. Told Alexa to tell me when 10 minutes had passed and sat in the recliner and watched the 6 am channel 3 and channel 5 newscasts on Tivo.

When the alarm went off it was time to go back to the bedroom and iron about 10 Hawaiian shirts.

Back to the livingroom, talked to both sisters on the phone. One at a time. We had lots of news for each other.

Called the plumber and got a Sunday morning appointment to install the garbage disposal and sink faucet.

Did not hear from any medical people today!

Fried rice for lunch, and a berry box for dessert. Herring in sour cream & onions for dinner. Planned on strawberries for dessert but had 4 cherry Jell-O cups instead.

Checked FB, lots of neighbors liked the St. Paddy's dancer videos I posted on the park's activity page. Some other people had good videos and snapshots.

Late afternoon realized I had not been outside, so I emptied the recycleds into the bin, hosed down the hummingbird feeder to get the bees off it, brought it inside and mixed up some nectar (1/4 cup of sugar, 8 drops of hummingbird vitamins, 10 drops of red food coloring , into a cup of hot water) and hung that back outside. And while I was out there I put the 2023 registration tag on my rear license plate, and slipped the card into the driver's side storage slot.

Another chore: removed the heavy iron grids from the stove top and cleaned the mess around the burners. Also cleaned the microwave and its rotating parts.

Emptied the dishwasher.

Tivo: Resident Alien gave far too much screen time to the mayor**, but they did a good job with the CGI of the baby alien.
**Levi Fiehler is the actor who play the clueless young mayor. He's from Alaska, has very few acting credits and it shows.

Exhausted

PT admin Patrick arrived around 10:30, took my vitals, we went for a walk down the block, back in the house he checked my balance (I list to the left) and we signed his form saying I am done with PT.

Watched Tivo:
Married at First Sight was going along fine until one husband found an old dating app on his wife's phone and went ballistic. Totally uncalled for. All the couples are on the edge of not staying together, usually because of communications issues. In one case they are just incompatible, but wife refuses to "lose".

Waited for nurse to show up, she gave me a 1pm-3pm window. At 3 pm I was planning on going to the community st. pat's party. 2:55 she phones and says she is on her way. I told her no, you're not, unless you can be here in 5 minutes.

I walked to the party, major exercise. Got there at 3:15 and there was nowhere to sit - the place was packed. I keep forgetting that people get to these things way early. I was hoping for cookies and cake and corned beef, but they kept the goodies wrapped up. I stayed for the Irish dancers, but then left when it was clear that the food was not coming out any time soon, and there probably would not be enough of it.

Walked to the mailbox and picked up two Humana items and my car tags. Then home, slowly.

Wanted some corned beef, so went on DoorDash and ordered a reuben from Arby's. Driver texted that they were out. Canceled the order and got corned beef and cabbage and a reuben from Black Bear. The meat was like plywood and the only edibles were cole slaw and bread pudding. Should have stayed at the party, but outdoors the smokers were too much.

Not as boring as it could have been

Yesterday I shut the door to the guest bedroom, because it bothered me that Spook was sleeping in there, hunkered down on the floor next to the cat tree, as if she expected Jade to return. Last night she hung around outside the door for about an hour, looking through the gap at the bottom.

After I got into bed, she joined me, curled up against me purring, which is where she was when I woke up. It's good to have her back again.

No medical appointments again, decided not to get my nails done or schedule the plumbing project until after my urology stuff is done.

The Bachelor on Tivo was a mess. Clayton doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut. Rachel, who IMHO is by far the best choice, almost won by default when Gabby refused the final rose. But Clayton ran after her and basically bullied her into changing her mind. And new we find out the Susie, who walked out on slut Clayton earlier, is still on site and will probably be lured back. More to watch tomorrow.

TMZ had some fun items. Hot Bench found more liars and dismissed a case which they should not have.

Below Deck Sailing Ship had the guests from Hell and focused on that as well as crew romances.
<hr>
Channel surfed to Discovery, which had some watchable shows about Alaskans gillnetting salmon, drag hooking huge halibut and not finding any bears or deer to shoot.

And of course there was Ukrainian TV, aka MSNBC and CNN. Those feeds were breaking up, lots of artifacts (Cox cable sometimes sucks) so I fired up the TCL smart TV and Prime Video, and watched the first three episodes of Upload (season 2)

Food: banana and an avocado with lime juice. Lunch: shrimp with cocktail sauce. Dinner: the last of the narrow noodle beef chow fun. Desserts: Marie C banana cream pie & sugar free Jell-O chocolate pudding.

Phone call from the PT administrator wanting to visit tomorrow, but Urology, so he'll come Thursday. I also had to change my Quest blood test to next week.

Delivered to my mailbox: a leopard pattern sofa cover. Spook loves it. More adjusting is needed.

Humana email said two items were in my mailbox. Drove there at about 4 pm, only junk mail. :-(
I'd ordered a delivery from Albertson's mostly to get more walnuts, but the shopper didn't substitute for the out of stock brand. Had to order from Amazon. Nuts.com has been advertising heavily on TV, but their prices are obscene. Albertson's delivered everything else I ordered. No berries because I was counting on nuts and sugar free Jell-O.

Delivered from Amazon subscription included 2 boxes of Kind bars, completely dried out. Not sure how to fix that.
Also in the delivery was cat grass, cat treats, test strips, un-needed carbon bags for the aquarium (I already have 6, only need one a month).

Breakfast: banana & avocado in fresh squeezed lime juice
Lunch: Shrimp in lobster sauce on fried rice. 1/2 lb strawberries
Dinner: Beef chow fun, but the noodles were thin not the usual wide. 1/2 lb strawberries and some blackberries
Snack: cashews & walnuts, Kind bar

No red wine today, I think it has been turning my pee red.

Springing Forward and more garbage, plus a long walk

My alarm went off at 1:59 am, reminding me to set my non-internet clocks forward an hour. Google calendar would not let me set the alarm for 2 am because this morning 2 am did not exist.

I was all comfy in bed so I waited till about 6 to do the ones in the bedroom & the bathrooms, one had a switch. After I was dressed I did the one in the livingroom, two in the office, and breakfast time the microwave and the oven. And the clock on the counter.

My blood sugar meter got the time when I uploaded my morning reading. So did my bathroom scale.

Gathered the trash bags from all the cans in the house plus the shredder and made one big bag out of them, took those outside to the bin. Also dumped one last container of recycleds into the other bin.

Decided I needed the exercise so I got the walker and went down my front ramp, and walked the three blocks the get my mail. The arms on my walker are too short, even at their most extended, and it hurt my shoulders. The good news is this shows how much my posture has improved since I last used the walker. But it's really too long a walk. Had to stop a few times on the way back to ease my shoulders.

The only useful item was a flyer for a Chinese restaurant which delivered so I ordered a few meals from them.

Browsed FB and Twitter, watched whatever was on Tivo, and then channel surfed between MSNBC, CNN, NASCAR and the PGA tour. Tuned in to the latter just in time to see someone score a hole in one.

Very annoyed at Cox, they have horrible ad insertion technology which has them showing a few seconds of a national ad which then gets replaced by one of their obnoxious self-promoting ads. The ones I hate are "I haven't seen my [brother/sister] since I left [Nicaragua/Malaysia] [20/10] years ago, so Cox sent both of us electroonic hugging jackets so we can hug each other".

And then there are the wifi smart router ads which show Mom turning off the connection in her daughter's room when daughter is on social media instead of eating diner.

It was pretty warm around 5 so I dragged the bins to the curb. Don't have to do that till maybe 9 am, but it will be cold then.

Email from Amazon, somehow on a Sunday after I had walked a quarter mile to get my mail, they delivered the new fingerprint reader for my laptop to the mailbox. After a little hesitation I drove there and got it. It's a nice one, works fine.

Banana and avocado chunks for breakfast, wor won ton soup for lunch, shrimp in lobster sauce for dinner. Berries for desserts. And a fortune cookie.

Mostly lazy Saturday with a side of garbage

Woke up at 6, Spook was curled up in the former Jade room again. Before Jade I kept that door closed, may return to that. Maybe Spook will sleep in my bed.

Somehow my web hosting site canceled the spam filtering service which I'd signed up (and paid) for. Email from them said they refunded the fee but I have not seen it. I signed up again, let's see what happens. Last time I stopped receiving email altogether.

Jeopardy is on in the background. I recognized Mayim Bialek from a commercial for Neuriva in which she has the world's worst hair do and claims she is a neuroscientist. So I looked her up. And found that she was in Big Bang Theory, and she really does have a PhD in neuroscience.

Waded through my Tivo recordings, TMZ, Hot Bench, a 90 Day teaser, Channel 3 news. Then started flipping between MSNBC and CNN with non-Ukraine escape with the PGA tour. I have never been interested in golf, but some ads for the Players cup showed a course which looked as much like the world's biggest mini golf course. Lots of water traps, and very few, if any, straight shots from tee to green. Almost interesting.

And then found Bee Czar, which I need to share with my beekeeper sister. The dad and two of the boys are very redheaded. Dad has dreds and likes to carry handfuls of bees in his palm. https://www.discovery.com/dnews/there-s-a-new-bee-czar-in-town-

Breakfast was reheated frozen avocado chunks and a small banana. Shrimp for dinner, followed by strawberries. Snacks for lunch.

Took out the kitchen garbage (will collect the rest tomorrow). Changed the litterbox cartridge.

Across the street neighbor had a relative visiting who just leased an electric car, and he came over to ask me about my Nissan Leaf and the charger. It sounds like he got a good deal. Not sure but I think its a Hyundai Kona.

This morning I got email from the DMV, renewed my car registration, $720. That's $200 more than last year. :-(

Been sipping on the third red wine - this one is palatable. Bruno 2020 pinot noir

Tomorrow:

Maybe take the walker for a walk to the mailbox. I need the exercise.

PT and surprise visit from Nurse Dina

Terri the physical therapist arrived at about 9:30, was pleased with me standing on my own, and carrying the delivery groceries into the kitchen (I had been using the walker as a cart). It's getting to be time to return to doing my own shopping. Getting frustrated with the substitutions and claims of items out of stock which are not.

She gave me some useful exercises to do to strengthen my calves and give me more confidence in standing up and not falling over.

She said Dina, my nurse, was supposed to call and arrange a visit. This was Terri's last.

Not much on Tivo, Dr. Pol is getting repetitive - there are only so many times one can watch a calf being pulled out of a cow by someone with his/her arms in there shoulder deep. TMZ is mildly amusing and this edition of Hot Bench featured a lying, cheating landlady being sued by lying, cheating tenants. They got half their deposit back.

Food was odd. Strawberries. walnuts and cashews drizzled with honey. Berries. Lots of diet cranberry juice, and some coconut water out on the porch after it warmed up. Dinner-ish was shrimp and cocktail sauce but I over-cooked the frozen shrimp. The reheat on the microwave is way off. Reheated avocado chunks from the freezer for breakfast. Wanted to slice up a whole avocado for dinner but the ones from Smith's are not ripe. The shopper warned me about that.

Called my cardiologist's office and changed my appointment (which was the same time as my PCP appt.) to the following week. In June. Tried to schedule a fasting blood draw for cardiologist A1C but Quest had nothing early enough. Will try again Monday.

Nibbled on some Ghirardelli dark chocolate with raspberry.

Tired of the Ukraine coverage which is now replaying week-old images. Watched Biden's speech about new sanctions, but that's trickle down economics and IMHO not appropriate for current circumstances.

Channel 58 is Animal Planet, but today it was marathon-ing Tree House Masters. That show ought to be on Discovery, not animal planet. Or Nat Geo.

3 pm Dina called, she was in my neighborhood and was on her way. Would have been nice to have made an appointment. But it was her last visit, so okay. She took my vitals, and also checked my tubes (she said I have secured them correctly). We did most of the visit outside on the porch, nice weather and warm.

The heart of the matter

This morning's drive was to the cardiologist, I was half an hour early which is good because I needed to use the restroom. It was a dark and stormy morning, weather radar was showing rain falling, but it never reached the ground (typical around here). Wind at about 30 MPH with gusts strong enough to de-bungee one of my porch rockers.

Home by 11:20. When I went out on the porch to bring in the empty cat dish "Friendly" was there looking for more. He wanted to play with Spook through the screen door, but Spook kept changing her mind. It was too cold and windy to keep the door open for long.

Berries for a snack, watched TMZ and Married At First Sight. Only one of the couples looks like they will make it, but only if the wife can understand that her husband has $$ in the bank and doesn't need a steady job. He can get high paying contract work whenever in the Boston area. Or practically anywhere. The other couples have serious communication issues which the counselors have showed them how to fix, but the counselors have communication issues, so it won't stick. I think one more couple will say "yes" on decision day but wife will bail in a month or three because hubby cannot support her in the style she wants and is used to (she has been a serial sugar baby).

Resident Alien was excellent, on several levels. The actor playing the lead character has finally developed a unique voice and mannerisms. One of the minor players who is a stellar character actor has been rewarded with more lines and a bigger role. A First Nations guy from Canada playing a Native American.

PTI once again was pre-empted, this time for the baseball clowns announcing the season will happen this year after all. Last night I got to see the last half of the show on its late night rerun, hope to see it the same way tomorrow.

Two cases on Hot Bench showed, as many of them do, how blatantly people will lie under oath.

Court Cam was kind of lame this time, only one person was shot in the two new episodes.

Food today was berries, lox, herring in sour cream, avocado and a banana nut muffin.

Moved the Ring cam from Jade's room entrance to the living room. Mostly to see when Spook is on the sofa or eating.

Tomorrow:
PT Terri at 9:30. This will probably be her last visit
Smith's grocery delivery (making up for the many missing items from Albertson's)
Call the plumber about installing the insinkerator.

Picking Up where I left off

Got bored waiting to drive to my 2 pm PCP appointment, so I grabbed the vacuum and did the room formerly known as Jade's. Had to use the hose to get the kibble that had spilled against the wall.

Before getting into the car I recycled the small water fountain, and took the larger one and the cat carrier out to the shed.

PCP kept me waiting a long time again, but bottom line is my test results were so good and my edema is gone so he doesn't need to see me again until June.

While I was out I drove up Tropicana to the car wash, then to Trop, the aquarium store and spent about $30 on plants. They had no floating plants, but they had a variety of others which will give decent shelter to the small angels and the bettas. I probably should have bought a male betta, but maybe not.

Homeward, picked up the mail which included a package from Humana mail order pharmacy of my latest prostate med.

Planted the plants in the aquarium. Looks better than before.

Two deliveries from one shipper: insinkerator garbage disposal and soda sense CO2 refills.

Delivery from Albertson's was messed up, lots of out of stock items (most of the Lean Cuisine which I know they have in stock) and they substituted a bag of frozen shrimp for an order of shrimp from the counter.

Dinner was a couple of snack packs from Hillshire, and a bag of edamame. And half a pound of strawberries.

Will try to order berries and avocados from Smith's tomorrow. And maybe Lean Cuisine.

Watched The Bachelor. The producers blew it, they saved Susie for last, thinking she was The One, but she freaked out when Clayton told her he had sex with the other two women. She gone. Hadshe been first, she would have told him to keep his pants on with the other two and she would have been his choice. Maybe. I'm hoping Rachel will be the one, she's by far the smartest of the two remaining, and IMHO the prettiest, but then Gabby is kind of homely, so the bar is not high.

PTI had a field day, with NFL trade news, but they started late (Basketball game) and I'll have to wait to see the Happy Times segment. It was great seeing Steve Young answering questions about the 3 QB trades, and whether he ever thought he would be in the hall of fame. His answer is Joe Montana set that bar for him, he never doubted he would be a HOFer.

Once again all 4 tuners were in use so I switched to the TV and watched YouTube videos. "Brave" struck me as a good one for the times.

Loaded the dishwasher, it is still running.

Tomorrow:
Cardiologist at 10 am
Smith's order
Watch MAFS and whatever else is on Tivo

Rare Morning post because I did/forgot stuff

Forgot to mention that the newly refilled hummingbird feeder has attracted honey bees, not hummingbirds. :-(

And that Spook has been abandoning my bed to go into Jade's room and curl up on the floor on the far side of the cat tree, against a cat bed and a flannel blanket (which was a gift from my California real estate person).

Last night:
Emptied the water fountain in Jade's room and the old bigger one on the floor of the guest bathroom, and carried them to the top of the washing machine, staged to either go to the shed or recycling. I think I'll recycle the smaller one.

This morning:
Used the grabber to pick up all the toys from the floor in Jade's room, relocated them to Spook's toy corner in the livingroom.
Took the carrier from Jade's room and added it to the washing machine stash. It will go back to the shed.
Picked up the plastic place mat which had been under the water fountain in Jade's room, and parked it on top of the kitchen cabinet.

OCD time: Filled the Thursday-Saturday pill box container slots so I'll be back to doing the whole week starting with the first slot on Sunday.
