Just getting onto LJ. We're celebrating National Hard Drive Melt-down Day at work today. On-site repair is at customer sites in Wisconsin & Georgia and then another call came in from another Georgia customer. Two of those failed after a year or more of intense video server pounding, the other failed after a week.

Reminds me of a chat I had with one of our more humor-enhanced engineers last week. "I don't know officer, I was just cleaning my hard drive, and it went off. Killed the whole system. I didn't even know it was loaded."
