Simple Sunday
Aug. 29th, 2010 09:56 pmWith the late late bedtime came much sleeping in. Got up and out in time to be at the Los Altos History Museum at noon, took a handful of nondescript pictures of the several model train setups they had out on the grounds, took a quick walk through the museum itself (loved the quilt exhibit) got my ticket punched at all the train stations and entered the raffle.
That took about an hour, which was just right to get to Shoup Park to play in the Ye Olde Towne Band concert. Nice weather, the trees which we play under finally have all their leaves so the sun was not a problem. A little breezy but that's why God invented clothes pins - to keep our music from flying off the stands.
Home to drop off my horn and change out of my concert clothes, and then off to Sunnyvale for dinner and a DVD exchange with a theater friend. Home again, finished watching a Tivoed program, and here I am.
