Big Bucks Day

Today was the day. I closed all my personal Bank of America Accounts, and parked the cash in the credit union. The trust account has to stay with BofA since the CU can only accept accounts where everyone in the trust title is still alive at the time the account is opened with them. The BofA rep said closing my personal accounts would not affect the trust account. She also confirmed that the payment to the CPA cleared, and my sister's check to consolidate funds she was keeping up there is now in the account here. The story on that is she needed an account she could sign for while Dad was still alive, she had his financial power of attorney. She was holding onto a chunk of change against the possibility of an IRS payment, but we've taken care of that through the trust's CPA.

That account will stay as is for another year, and then if there are no more expenses I'll distribute the funds and close the account.

From the bank I went to Lowe's to get a refund for a particularly expensive heat lamp which was too high a wattage for the outlet I wanted to use it in.

After work there was enough time to watch some football at home before walking to Coco's for BASFA. Meeting was well-attended but there were way too many auction items.
