howeirdThey are cats. They are not my babies, my children, my child-surrogates. They are small furry critters which I feed and shelter. And clean up after. I like a lot of different kinds of animals. None of them have been my children. My first pet was a parakeet, then a dog, then a series of cats. I've also bred guppies, Siamese fighting fish, Jack Dempsey cichlids and jeweled cichlids.
Dogs need more face time and a regular schedule than I can give. Horses are too expensive and my apartment is too small. Ditto llamas. I'm not fond of rodents.
