Saturday So Far

howeirdI've been hanging out at the Clocktower since 11:30 because my manicurist is booked till 2:45 and I had a lot of updatery online to do. Bought two Kindle books.
This morning I was up at 7:30, which amazed me, feeling rested. Had a PB&J for breakfast, Domino was being a nudge sitting half on my lap and half on the arm of the chair, but refused all offers of a bite of my sandwich. After stripping the bed and tossing the sheets such into the washer, I took the SD card with the updates for the Kenwood, and the instructions, and tried to apply them to the car unit. Turns out the refurb unit has newer firmware for the main unit than is available online and the GPS firmware is also up to date. It does need the new map. The GPS did not recognize my POI file, I'll have to check with their support pages to see what's up with that. So total FAIL on the updates.
Got to the nail place a little after 11, but the next appointment was at 2:45 so I've been in the nearby coffee shop taking up space, sipping iced tea and nibbling on a brownie. 20 minutes to go.
After the manicure, it's off to Kaiser to drop off sharps & pick up insulin.
Maybe John Carter and I have a date for this evening.
