Nothing at work worth mentioning. Ping pong tournament is manic. Our token Russian Jew insists I should play, but he refuses to listen when i try to tell him my knees kill me when i try to play.

Tried to plan my train day trip, but I would need to take that Monday off to do what I really want to do - Santa Barbara. Same with Reno. This BS about only running one train a day is highly annoying. They have lots of buses, but who wants to ride in a bus for 6 hours?

I hate it when people ignore what I tell them. Example: 2 guys come to my door to tell me my roof needs replacing. Mmmhhmmmm. It was at least 10 years old when I bought the house 20 years ago, and it's about a 25 year roof. Problem: insurance won't give me a dime, I have no money, and I have no credit. So, they're telling me it doesn't matter, they'd still like to give me a free report. Which would tell me what I already know. "So, does that mean you don't want us to climb up on your roof and look at it?"

You got it, ace. 99.9% of people who ring the bell looking to fix house problems are crooked and will steal your front money and leave you with thousands of dollars of work that needs to be done to clean up their mess.

Russian Jew, eh? The proper thing, under those circumstances, is to shout, at the top of your lungs, "EXCUSE ME! I'M TRYING TO INTERRUPT HERE!" Of course, if the decorum at your place of employment prevents that, pull out a cell phone as if it just vibrated, start talking to a phantom person on it, hold up an index finger and walk away.
