Supermoon

I don't know where everyone was getting the "big moon" blather from, it was a very bright moon, smaller than your average harvest moon. I tried to shoot without a tripod, which was silly and fuzzy. Went back with tripod and 10-second shutter delay and took a series of bracketed exposures, which were mostly in focus. The whole set is here, my favorite is this one:

I actually went out on the roof to look...it is tiny but man is it bright...lots of pretty prominent shadows on the roof. It was hard to look at, at first too.

I need to go out there more often the view is kick ass. LA in all of its sparkly glory.

Nice shot.

I took a bunch too, but nothing really spectacular. Malida suggested that the next time I want to photograph a full moon, we should do it in Mendocino, which sounds like a nice idea.
