It's A Miracle!

After sitting in its case overnight, I took the dead Gateway laptop out just for grins, noted trhat the battery was now completely dead (it had a full charge last time I checked) and decided to plug it in and see if it would power up.

It did.

So I'm now using XP's file/settings transfer widget to get all my stuff off there before I nuke the hard drive, and sell it as-is on eBay.

I can't keep track of your hardware comings and goings.
This is an unusual time. Usually all I do is upgrade one computer and either sell the parts from the old one or donate it to a senior center.

This time my laptop, which I need for work, died right after I'd upgraded to a new computer. So now I have parts of a PC and a whole laptop to sell.

I just finished the final part of the PC upgrade- the new speakers arrived while I was away, so I just finished hooking them up. Stick a fork in me...
