I am testing an online program guide, and saw this listing for a soap opera this morning:

Kendall admits that she loves Zach; Zach and Kendall are optimistic about their future; Ryan destroys the adoption papers; Greg accuses Dixie of trying to poison him; Krystal opposes Babe's plan to have another baby with J.R.; Lily becomes overwhelmed

My paternal grandma used to watch soaps--interesting in such a very cerebral woman. When I came toward her last years to help her with her mail, etc., they'd be on in the background. They were mind-boggling!

Soaps may have stupid dialog and cookie cutter characters, but it takes a supercomputer to keep track of the multiple plots running in parallel, who's doing what to whom (and why), and which plots intesect and which do not. Kind of like real life, but with lousy organ music in the background.
