So I'm in bed reading a book, and I look down at the foot of the bed to see Domino being momma cat and licking the top of Pumpkin's head. This is extremely rare, they usually park themselves at least a foot apart.
Just as I'm thinking how sweet this is, and how it only took them 6 years of living together to get to this point, Domino pauses for a second, takes aim, then bites Pumpkin's ear. Then she jumped off the bed and ran out of the bedroom, with Pumpkin in hot pursuit.

Date: 2004-11-28 08:39 pm (UTC)I just finished Peter and the Starcatchers. Thoroughly cute origin story--they managed to tie up most of what one sees later in the "real" Peter Pan storyline. Very fun--I got to sit around envisioning lots of people saying, "ARRRRR!"
Ugh. I can't believe tomorrow is work. Who thought up this work-thing, anyway?

Date: 2004-11-30 12:31 pm (UTC)Yeah. Domino did the ear-bite thing again last night, so I sat up and gave her the evil eye stare. She looked like a kid caught shoplifting in the candy store after 30 seconds of that.
I don't mind too much that the two of them ambush each other on the stairs, or take swipes when passing by. But it's just a whole 'nother level of cruel to lull the big guy into a false sense of security by doing something incredibly nice, and then bite him.

Great visual, that. Don't scare the cat.
I'll get it when it comes out in paperback. It may be a movie by then, who knows.
