One good thing about SUVs, maybe

15 years ago, my biggest gripe about freeway driving was the pickup truck with a camper top. You couldn't see through them or around them, and people driving them generally drove too slowly for conditions (I'm guessing the lousy aerodynamics made them drag, and probably noisy too).

I haven't seen one in a couple of years. And it dawns on me that the reason is the SUV has taken their place.

I still can't see through or around most SUVs, but the people who drive them tend to go faster, not slower, than me.
