Woke up at 5 am or so feeling blah. Hgl was 60. Self-medicated with a Klondike bar, guilty because I'm not supposed to have dairy with the latest meds. Sat in front of the TV watching morning news. Fox, NBC, CBS, ABC and the local indie channel all had the same stories, in the same words (or close to it - with their own political twist). WTF were five sheriff's deputies in CO doing playing Jr. SWAT team without the protective gear, returning to a domestic disturbance call one of theirs had walked away from earlier as not worth pursuing? Who cares what Kim Foo Foo says he has on his desk? Red nuke button? Pshaw.
Back to bed, up at 7:30 because that's when the lights come on on weekdays. Pit stop, back to bed & turned off the lights.
Dream seemed real. I am in England, probably London, a guest in an ancient boarding house. I hear another guest announcing that the sewer has backed up in his loo. Landlady complains a lot as she mops it up.
I go to use my loo (on a different floor) and as I sit down the whole London sewer system spurts out from the john.
Landlady says she's on her way, but I suddenly wake up. Worried that the dream was a poo-warning, but no, all clear down there.
9:30 am was wake-up time.
Feeling a bit out of it I drag myself to the bathroom for my usual morning stuff, though I really ought to have stayed in bed. Except I needed drugs and breakfast.
KCEA played one of my favorite WWII (?) songs, The White Cliffs of Dover. And it made me wonder if there are bluebirds over now? Last I heard it was only seagulls. I'll ask my UK cousins.
