Podcasters
Jun. 8th, 2006 05:03 pmTonight is the silly valley podcaster's meetup at the mission college branch of Yahoo. Lovely venue. Their frosted glass entry doors are actually yahoo maps of the neighborhood. Cleverly done.
Last month's meetup inspired me to find a way to podcast, and I went right out and set up two feeds, one from my web site (which is not really implemented yet) and one from LJ. Slurped up a free RSS reader and publisher from the web, just to make a template of the xml file needed, and now I can update by cutting and pasting. My experience has been that the feed propagates from LJ in 2-3 hours.
I suppose I could automate it, but it's not worth it for a mere one headline a day.
They said something about meeting half an hour early because the food needed it. Last time the food was a lovely ice cream cake. I'm guessing this time it's something more food-like.
I'll also bring my laptop, just in case.
