Nikon sent me email that they are grabbing excellent photos taken with their brand of camera to display on Flikr, all you have to do is upload to your account with the tag "nikonstunninggallery". So I finally got off my virtual butt and signed up for an account, and have started uploading photos from my collection which Nikon might find exceptional. These are much higher resolution than what I have on my web gallery, or at least I uploaded the full sized photos. One really neat hack for photographers is if you click on the photo, then click on the "more properties" link hidden in the right-hand sidebar, it shows all the data about the photo which the camera stores with the image.

Interesting story - I first visited this temple in 1975, our language training was in this town. At the time it was a single building surrounded by a short concrete wall, and every couple of feet at the top of the wall there was a little Thai lady figurine kneeling with "praying hands". It was the same when I revisited in 1989. Nowadays, the temple is just one of several buildings inside a much bigger, higher wall (there's a school campus associated with the temple), and they have this lovely lion instead.
