Review: PoC/DMC

No spoilers here, because, IMHO, they already spoiled it. The latest Pirates of the Carribean made me sick. They went for the most disgusting gross-outs they could imagine, and some they couldn't. The plot took forever to develop, had way too many branches for something that simple-minded, and all in all it was just gross.

They will probably win an oscar for makeup, there was a lot of it, mostly disgusting, stomach-wrenching offal. It could have been a highly entertaining movie safe for the kids but enjoyable for adults, but no, they had to literally go overboard on the gross-outs. There was no reason for it, it was not necessary or even advisable. I'll definitely be giving #3 a wide berth.
