Not Quite Next Year

A singularly boring day, as expected. The only times I left the house was to bring in the garbage bins and the mail. Too chilly and windy to hang out on the porch, even.

Just not feeling the new year excitement. Calendars are late, is one reason. No job is another. I do have egg nog - tried the Bacardi experiment but it didn't make it taste any better, Worse, actually. I have plenty left over for midnight.

One of the storm chasers in the central time zone just streamed a drone video of his local fireworks, and the non-affiliated news channel on TV showed some stuff in Dallas, and are live in Vegas, for no apparent reason.

Watched Stanford and Oregon both squeak by with ugly 1-point bowl wins.

Breakfast was a banana and a poorly hard boiled egg. Lunch was grilled cheese on sourdough rye in the cast iron skillet I had just seasoned, and dinner was duck and matzo balls and peas in soup.

Plans for tomorrow:
Nothing until the Rose Bowl (5 pm). Maybe other bowl games? Are there any?
