Milestone

My strength continues to improve. I'm able to take my blood sugar readings standing up without leaning on anything, ditto taking my meds. One to-do which needed standing with only the help of a cane was walking to the back of Jade's room and replacing the dead battery in the ring cam which is pointed at her tree (the only way I can see if she is in her hutch).

I sat outside for a few minutes until the sun came out, but after it was in the shade I went back out with the tablet and read a new book on Kindle and listened to the fire department scanner. No fires but some medical emergencies and a couple of times when the firepersons showed up at an address and could not find the building or apartment or the person who called. And a lot of waiting for the police to show up. "Metro" as it is called, has piss-poor response times.

Ordered some goodies from Albertson's, but the app wouldn't take my credit card. When I logged in on the PC, it thought I was in Idaho. Finally got it to put me in Las Vegas, but it still refused my preferred card, has to us a different one. 

Spent 20 minutes on hold for a BofA rep, but she was able to return two duplicate credit card payments back to my checking account. Their stupid web site & app don't show pending payments...

Watched some Olympic downhill skiing, but gave up when the 2nd contestant crashed and burned and it did not look like he would be rescued any time soon.

Ski jump also had a lot of fall-down-go-boom.

The Pro Bowl was a hot mess. Some of the rules were whacked, and every QB was intercepted at least once. Max Crosby of the Raiders (the game was in Vegas) was well-earned defense MVP and had a lot of encouragement from the fans.
